EASTERN GARTER SNAKE
Thammophis sirtalus Length: 18-26 inches.

Color: Very variable, but normally black or brown with three yellow stripes.
Habitat: Meadows, marshes, woodlands, hillsides, along streams and dranidge ditches,
and even in cities.
Range: South Canada to the Gulf of Mexico to Texas to Minnesota.

Diet: Toads, frogs, salamanders, and worms.
Notes: Extreemly common.
