Purchased "Gallagher Farm" farm Nov 3, 1902, 58
acres, $150 from the Estate of John Grimes, late, of Dorset, VT (from a copy of the land
deed). Land is on Kelleher Road and was deeded to his son Michael Henry in 1924.
The land was later held by Ellen (Gallagher) McCooey, then Henry & Pauline
Gallagher, and is still in the family (as of 2003). At some point it was reduced to
about 25 acres. The land was classified as Town of Dorset "Glebe" land.
Glebe is normally defined as "A plot of land belonging or yielding profit to an
English parish church or an ecclesiastical office", but this land belonged to the
Town of Dorset. Phillip Gallagher also owned the land, but instead of paying taxes
on the land he paid a glebe rent annually. See photos for the original
receipts from the Town of Dorset for glebe rent received.

School teacher.
Suspect Mary Gallagher went to live with the Kellehers at some point. She was much younger than all her brothers and sisters, and her mother died when Mary was about 7 years old. The Kelleher's tombstone in E. Dorset has several first names listed on it, and then "Mary Gallagher 1903", which is about when this Mary was born.
Terry Gallagher thinks she never married or had kids.

3. BRIDGET2 GALLAGHER (PATRICK1) was born Abt. 1850 in Ireland, and died Unknown in Australia. She married UNKNOWN FLANNIGAN. He died Unknown in Australia.
Notes for BRIDGET GALLAGHER:
Information on Bridget Gallagher and her descendents was inferred from a stack of photos
found in Ellen (Gallagher) McCooey's things. The caption on the back of the first
photo says (as written), "from Bridjet Gallaher to her Dear Brother Phillaph with
love." Her brother "Phillaph" is assumed to be Phillip
Gallagher, Ellen's grandfather.
The photo-studio stamp at the bottom of the photo says P. Mathewson & Sons., Petries Bight, Brisbane -- Advance Australia. Therefore, by inferrence, Phillip's sister Bridget emigrated from Ireland to Australia. Some of the other photos say the same thing, while other say, "The Bain Studio, Toowoomba".
Four photos show adults, probably in their twenties, and all four look very much alike, and are assumed to be Bridget's grown children. They are labeled as follows:
"Patrick Robert Flanagan aged 25 years"
"Thomas Flanagan 25 years of age"
"To Uncle from Annie"
"Mrs. Ryan"
Another photo shows the same "Mrs. Ryan" on a horse, with a man standing beside her, and is labeled: "From Kate and her husband and best love and good wishes to you."
The last photo shows two girls, about 7 years old, and is labeled, "Katies children".
From these photos the following is inferred:
Bridget Gallagher emigrated to Australia and married a Mr. Flanigan. She had the following children:
*Kate, who married a Mr. Ryan and had two girls.
*Patrick Robert Flanigan & Thomas Flanigan (twins)
*Annie
Children of BRIDGET GALLAGHER and UNKNOWN FLANNIGAN are:
i. KATE3 FLANNIGAN, b. Abt. 1875, Australia; d. Unknown; m. UNKNOWN RYAN; d. Unknown.
ii. ANNIE FLANNIGAN, b. Abt. 1875; d. Unknown.
iii. THOMAS FLANNIGAN, b. Abt. 1875; d. Unknown.
iv. PATRICK ROBERT FLANNIGAN, b. Abt. 1875; d. Unknown.
