NOTE: This website is being phased out and is mostly here for archive purposes only.  Basic trail and open space info is now available at sheltonconservation.org (I also do that site, so why do it twice??), and trail news and events are posted on the Trails Committee blog. Hiking, Biking and Conservation in Shelton, Connecticut    Birchbank Mountain is for hikers!  Several trail reroutes and a new trail were completed in November 2010.  AND...the leaves were blown off the trails.  Directions: Turn into Indian Well State Park at their big brown and yellow sign. Pass the beach area and go another MILE or so. If the road goes insane, you've gone the right way.
